Jacobs
Ranch -
The Jacobs Ranch was established in 2000 by Dr. Paul Jacobs. The
location was selected for several reasons,
the most important of which was the family's history of ranching in the
area (Morrell Family) and the beautiful
location. (The ranch is located between Fish Lake on the West and
Capital Reef State Park on the East)
It a great location for not only ranching, but also a great spot for
fishing, hunting, hiking, site seeing, and adventure.
Today the Jacobs Ranch still remains a family owned and operated
business. Unlike large cattle operations that focus
on profits, the Jacobs Ranch focuses on assisting others ranchers and
the local community. In 2007, the
Jacobs Ranch was awarded the Conservation Award for their service to the
county and community.
In addition, Paul Jacobs serves on the BLM Resource Advisory Committee
and
Park Grazers Association.
